Message from the president

Chris I. Enyinda
Welcome to IAABD website. Thank you for your interest in the International Academy of African Business and Development (IAABD).
The new realities of globalization require an ambitious and a bold new vision for African business and development. To achieve this vision and position Africa well into the 21st century, IAABD was founded by Professors Sonny Nwankwo, Alphonso Ogbuehi, Joseph Ayiku, Robert Rugimbana, Ben Oumlil, William Darley, Frank Manu, and Jerry Kolo and endorsed by hundreds of inaugural members to assume the leadership.
Indeed, IAABD represents the leading association of academicians, practitioners, government leaders and policy makers in business and development areas from Africa, Caribbean, North America, Europe, and South America. IAABD is at the forefront of quality research in business and development issues that can help executives, practitioners, governments, non-governmental organizations, and policy-makers deal with the unprecedented challenges associated with doing business in Africa.
IAABD is a dynamic, important contributor to substantive business and development thought, practice, and education in Africa. Our members hail from a variety of disciplines such as agribusiness management, marketing, management, finance, accounting, Information technology/ICT, tourism and hospitality management, transportation management, operations/logistics and supply chain management, corporate social responsibility, government procurement and private sector management, research and development, entrepreneurship, healthcare management, economic development, international trade/relations/affairs, and cultural/social/political/legal. University of Athabasca (AU), Canada will host IAABD 12th Annual International Conference, May 17-20, 2011. Indeed, you will have the opportunity to network with thought leaders in academia, business, and development from around the world; share your thoughts with your peers through presentations, publications, and special interactive sessions on African business and development excruciating issues and challenges. Also, proffer solutions to those issues and challenges.
